HOKS (Helping Our Kids Suceed) Tutoring/ Mentoring Program
Our tutoring program will begin again October 5th, with the goal of one-on-one attention to help each student. The second semester will begin January 11th, 2011.
We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays and tutors are welcome to come both days, one day, or as a substitute.
Reading is so very important to our everyday living experience. We have a great opportunity here at our own church to help a child learn to read. The one-on-one approach not only helps the children to improve in reading skills but also to have someone share his/her time with the student. Men of grandparent age often play an extra special role with the boys, providing a positive male role model.
