The Mission and Outreach Team of First UMC wants to do things well. We are focusing on doing a few things well rather than lots of things half-prepared.
The Mission and Outreach Team of First UMC seeks to act for Christ in a balanced outreach to our home community, our region, and our world.
The "Matchmaker Ministry" is a project to link the needs and skills of church members in service to one another; as Jesus came to serve, so we are called to service. Whether the skill is to make a phone call and the need is to have someone check on them, or whether the need is to repair a roof and the skill is to match, "Matchmaker" will team up active errand runners, handyperson skills, and caring listeners with others in need.
Military Service Personnel We currently have members from eleven of our church families serving in the US military. Please consider droping them a line to say they are not forgotten! Addresses may be found on the hallway bulletin board, or by calling the church office.
